Johnson County, Missouri PWSD No. 2 (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:
NE Waterline Replacement

Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the District Office located at 920 SW 58 Highway, Holden, MO 64040, until the above time. At that time, the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.
The Project includes the following Work:
Installation of approximately 26,500 lineal feet of 6-inch waterline and related appurtenances.

Prospective bidders desiring copies of plans, specifications, bid documents, and other Contract Documents can purchase these documents (non-refundable) online at Drexel Technologies in their eDistribution Plan Room at www.drexeltech.com. Additional assistance is available at distribution@drexeltech.com or 913.371.4430. Information regarding this project can be found under the “Public Jobs” link on the website. Partial sets of bidding documents will not be available from Drexel Technologies or Lamp Rynearson. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Any questions regarding the project, plans, specifications, bid documents, or Contract Documents should be directed to Lamp Rynearson at 816.361.0440.
Bidding Documents also may be examined at the Owner’s office, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM; and the office of the Engineer, Lamp Rynearson, 9001 State Line Road, Suite 200, Kansas City, Missouri 64114, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 AM – Noon and 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
Pre-bid Conference
A pre-bid conference will not be held.
Bid Security.
Each Bid shall be accompanied by bid security in the form of a Bid Bond (on the form included with the Bidding Documents) in the amount of 5% and shall be payable without condition to Johnson County PWSD No. 2 as a guarantee that the Bidder, if successful, will execute the Agreement and provide an acceptable Contract Bond from an approved surety in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price.
Payment Procedures.
The Owner will issue payment to the Contractor in the amount of 90% of the contracted value of the completed work as of the end of the preceding month, as recommended by the Engineer. Payment for the balance retained will be issued by the Owner upon completion of the work and approval thereof by the Owner’s Engineer, City, or other governmental agency approval when necessary, and acceptance by the Owner.
State of Missouri Requirements.
The prevailing wage rates for projects in the State of Missouri shall apply for the county where the work is to be performed on this contract, as do any requirements of the State of Missouri associated with the use of the State Prevailing Wages.
All manufactured goods or commodities used or supplied under this contract must meet the requirements of the Domestic Products Procurement Law RSMo. 34.350-RSMo 34.359. Compliance certification must be submitted with this bid.
For projects in the State of Missouri, the amount retained from monthly payments shall be in accordance with State law.
