Notice is hereby given that the City of Sunset Hills will receive sealed proposals at City Hall, 3939 S Lindbergh Blvd, Sunset Hills, MO until the above time, at which time all bids for the West Watson Road / Rott Road – Phase II Improvements will be publicly opened and read.

This project will consist of a pavement mill and overlay of West Watson Rd / Rott Rd from Weber Hill Road to Robyn Rd. Other improvements include curb and gutter, storm sewer, sidewalk, entrances, retaining walls, guardrail, pavement marking, signing, and ADA improvements.

The bid proposal shall be made on a form of proposal, provided in the specifications and delivered in a sealed envelope clearly marked on the outside Bid No. WWP2 to the City Hall on or before the time specified above. No facsimiles will be accepted. The proposal shall be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check of a bank or trust company in St. Charles County, City of St. Charles, St. Louis County, or in the City of St. Louis for an amount not less than five (5%) percent of the bid amount. The amount of the check shall be forfeited to the City if the bidder neglects or refuses to enter into a contract or to furnish bond after their proposal has been accepted.

The project will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, offers, or proposals submitted, or to advertise for new bids with MoDOT’s concurrence. The City reserves the right to defer the acceptance of any proposal and the execution of a contract for a period not exceeding one hundred twenty (120) days after the date of opening of the bids. The successful bidder to whom the contract has been awarded shall sign the contract and performance bond and other required certificates in triplicate and return the signed documents within fifteen (15) days after the date of their receipt.

The City of Sunset Hills hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award.
