Sealed proposals will be received at the office of the County Clerk, Kingman County Courthouse, Kingman, Kansas, until the above time, at which time the proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud for:

SURFACE OVERLAY PROJECT NE 10th St.

The Surface Overlay Project NE 10th St. (Old Hwy 54) consists of a road segment on NE 10th St. and NE 100th Ave. as described below.

Project NE 10th St. (Old Hwy 54)

The project involves an asphalt overlay consisting of a 1” leveling course and a 1.5" surface course on a segment of NE 10th St. (Old HWY 54) about 5 miles long beginning at the West edge of pavement of NE 100th Ave. and extending approx. 5 miles east to the west edge of pavement of NE 150th Ave. Exceptions for the overlay include the bridge located about 0.3 miles east and 2.7 miles east of NE 100th Ave. on NE 10th St. Note Sta. 405+00 to Sta. 406+25 will be a 1” mill followed by a 2.0” surface course.

In addition, a similar asphalt overlay on a segment of NE 100th Ave. beginning about 0.18 mile north of the north edge of NE 10th St. thence south to NE 10th St.

The bid quantities for the program consist of the following total approximate quantities of work:

All equipment, materials and workmanship must be in accordance with the Standard Specifications for State Road and Bridge Construction of the Kansas Department of Transportation, 2007 Edition, with all Supplemental Specifications and the Special Provisions that include applicable local construction standards and procedures as provided with the contract documents.
