PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Upper Division: Site work, material, equipment, and labor associated with the installation of wastewater pump station structures, associated piping and conduit, wiring, controls necessary to furnish a complete and operating pump station; work shall also include furnishing and installing 7 each 5?-0? dia. Standard Manholes; 45 lf of 30? dia. ductile iron sewer pipe; 3,500 lf of 30? dia. gravity sewer pipe; 15 lf of 24? dia. gravity sewer pipe; 4,912 lf of 10? dia. force main pipe; 3 air release valve vaults; 1 meter vault structure with a fiberglass trapezoidal flume; concrete encasement; stone rip rap; erosion control; surface restoration; and all other appurtenances necessary to complete the project.
Lower Division: Furnish and install 6 each 5?-0? dia. Standard Manholes; 2,168 lf of 24? dia. gravity sewer pipe; 15 lf of 21? dia. gravity sewer pipe; 425 lf of 38? dia. steel casing pipe with 24? dia. gravity sewer carrier pipe; concrete encasement; stone rip rap; erosion control; surface restoration; and all other appurtenances necessary to complete the project.
The pump station site, force main, and a portion of the gravity sewer are located in Olathe, Kansas, while the remainder of the gravity sewer is located in an unincorporated part of Johnson County, Kansas.
The entire title of this project and the project number must appear on the outside of the bid envelope.
A satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to 5 percent of the total bid for work, shall be submitted with each proposal.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds.
The City of Olathe, Kansas, reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding.
Bids may be held by the city of Olathe, Kansas, for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract.
