This project is a Re-Bid of the project that was originally bid on 6/19/2007. A general description of the revisions to these documents for re-bid is as follows: 1. The Contractor?s base bid shall include the wetland and forebay work only. Dam improvement items will be bid as add-alternate work. 2. Approximately 2,000 s.y. of asphalt trail and the wood deck scenic overlook have been removed from the Project. 3. Alternate deduct bids are requested for use of treated wood in lieu of composite wood decking for the boardwalks. 4. Gradation for riprap has been revised to a nominal diameter specification rather than K-DOT gradations. Riprap size on the dam has been reduced to D50 = 15? 5. Existing riprap on the dam may be re-used and within the project where new riprap is required, including the dam face and the wetland/forebay area. Replacement quantity reduced to 2,756 cubic yards of 15? nominal diameter riprap. 6. Quantities have been reduced for items 8, 10, 21, 23 per Sheet 2 Summary of Quantities 7. Precast concrete blocks are an acceptable alternate to the native limestone ledge rock specified for the forebay spillway walls, provided that the dimensions are within 6 inches of that specified in the Drawings. The project is anticipated to cost approximately $1,000,000.00 The engineer of record is: Tony Stanton Olsson Associates 913-381-1170
