Work under this project includes furnishing all specified materials, equipment, labor, and supervision and the installation of new traffic signal controllers, communication virtual server, fiber optic and radio communication hardware and software, ethernet switches, power supplies, cabling, required connectors, ITS poles and foundations, radio antennas and other required appurtenances including repair, restoration, and replacement of existing sidewalks and other existing areas or features that are disturbed during the traffic signal enhancement work. The various itens of work will be completed at up to 29 signalized intersections within three areas of Kansas City, Kansas (KCK), two Board of Public Utilities (BPU) power distribution substations, two relay radio installations within KDOT I-635 controlled access Right of Way, within the KCK City Hall at 701 N. 7th Steet, Kansas City, Kansas, 66101, and fiber optic interconnect installation along State Line Road between 103rd Street and 103rd Terrace within Leawood, Kansas.
