Northeast Pump Station Force Main Realignment project includes, but is not necessarily limited to furnishing all labor, material, equipment, tools, superintendence, and all other services necessary to perform the following construction work complete: Furnish and install: 9,790 L.F. of 18? PVC sanitary sewer pressure pipe; 170 L.F. of 32? steel casing pipe installed by dry boring and jacking; 180 L.F. of 18? Ductile Iron sanitary sewer pipe; Installation of 5 combination air//vacuum valves and vaults; the installation of 1 new 5? dia. precast manhole; Abandonment of 5 existing air release valves and vaults, and all other appurtenances related to the completion of this project. All equipment, material and workmanship must be in accordance with the Plans, Technical Specifications, and Contract Documents on file with the City Clerk, Kirksville, Missouri, and in the office of the City Engineer. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the information for bidders. A certified check on a solvent bank or a bid bond by a satisfactory surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the base bid must accompany each proposal. The successful bidder shall at the time of the execution of the Contract furnish separate performance and payment bonds in a sum equal to the Contract price payable to the City of Kirksville, Missouri. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the day of opening bids. All wages paid for work under this contract shall comply with requirements of the prevailing wage law of the State of Missouri (MO Public Law 294, Section 290.210 through 290.340 as amended R.S. Mo. 1969). The project is being financed through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and the Missouri State Revolving Funds (SRF), established by the sale of Missouri Water Pollution Control bonds and federal Capitalization Grants to Missouri. All laws and regulations that govern these programs will be applicable to this project. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract
