The proposed long-term parking is located within the currently undeveloped area of the airport bounded by Cookingham Drive, Bern Street, Mexico City Avenue and Interstate 29. The work is generally described as follows: The project generally consists of construction of several overhead bridge type signage, cantilever signage, and freestanding highway type signage along the roadways within the New Economy Parking Lot and along Cookingham Drive to the terminals and other streets or airport property. The project also includes construction of parking lot way finding signage on light poles, shelters, installation of new guardrails, crashworthy end terminals and cushions and some electrical work.
The project will be constructed under multiple contracts. Parts or all of each contract is performed concurrently and coordinated closely with construction activities performed on Project under separate contracts. Contracts for this Project include the following: General Construction Contract, Package A, (separate contract) Signage and Guardrail Package Contract (this contract) Installation of fiber optic line in the campus backbone (separate contract), Revenue Control System Contract (separate contract)
