PreBid Info:   Subcontractor summits (small pre-bid meetings) will take place on February 12, 2010 at 9:00 am, 1:00 pm, and at 3:00 pm. Summit meetings will be held in the Library of the Independence Middle School located at 300 W. Locust Street, Independence, KS. Summit meetings are to provide more in depth discussions on the project, schedule, bidding procedures, bidding packages and other bidding requirements, etc.

All interested Subdontractors are invited to attend, however it is Mandatory for the following trades to attend one of the above Subcontractor Summit Meetings: Demolition, Concrete, Masonry, Steel Erection, Roofing, Aluminum/Glass, Floor Covering, Painting, Fire Suppression, Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical. Any bidders identified to be mandatory not attending the meetings and walkthrough tours of the building bids will not be accepted.

A brief description of the project is as follows: Renovation to the 122,000 square foot three story Middle School building. Renovation includes demolition and construction to change various areas into different types, all new Mechanical and Electrical systems.

Full size copies of the contract documents and specifications may be obtained for $350.00 per set (Refundable Deposit) Corporate, certified, or cashier's checks shall be made payable to Nabholz Construction Services. Bidding Document may be obtained from the Issuing Office: Drexel Technologies, 10840 West 86th Street, Lenexa, Kansas 66214-1632, (913) 371-4430.

Plans and specifications may also be picked up on CD or a download for a Non-Refundable fee of $25.00. Bidding Documents will be shipped only if the requesting party assumes responsibility for all related shipping charges. Corporate, certified, or cashier's checks shall be made payable to Drexel Technologies.
