CMSD Contract No. 6B, Sanitary Sewer Stream Crossing Repair Project includes, but is not necessarily limited to furnishing all labor, material, equipment, tools, superintendence, and all other services necessary to repair of two (2) sanitary sewer stream crossing sites at different locations in Johnson County, KS by various methods.
In general the work consists of the following major components: Demolish and backfill an existing home, remove and dispose of approximately 965 linear feet of pipe with sizes ranging from 8" to 36?, three (3) concrete encasements and one service line, installation of approximately 895 linear feet of DIP pipe (30-36? Diameter); approximately 305 linear feet of 30? PVC pipe; approximately 117 lf of 8? PVC pipe; eight - 6? Dia. standard manholes; one ? 4? Dia. standard manhole; construction of four special concrete encasement structures. Installation of graded rock in various sizes and locations associated with various stream bed stabilization improvements; sod and native seeding and planting restoration including rolled erosion control products and restoration of paved and non-paved areas disturbed by construction, including any miscellaneous items required to comply with project permit requirements noted on the plans.
Each Bidder shall submit with their bid a bid bond issued by a surety licensed to do business in the State of Kansas in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of their bid plus all alternates. Said guarantee shall be made payable to the Board of County Commissioners of Johnson County, Kansas.
The County reserves the right to award the contract to the lowest and best, responsive and responsible bidder(s) for the work covered by the bid and to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities and informalities in any bid submitted.
Nonresident corporations that are not already registered with the Kansas Secretary of State and all nonresident individuals and partnerships are required by law to register with the Department of Revenue, State Office Building, Topeka, Kansas, and pay a fee for each and every contract as a precedent to commencing work on the contract. For contracts in excess of ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) the foreign contractor shall file with the Department of Revenue an acceptable bond in an amount of ten percent (10%) of the contract.
No bid may be withdrawn within a period of sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening.
