Core samples collected as part of the soil exploration process for this project will be on display for Bidders to examine before and after this meeting.

Bids received after the designated time will be returned unopened.

Blue River No. 26, Contract No. 1 Sanitary Sewer Interceptor Tunnel project includes, but is not necessarily limited to furnishing all labor, material, equipment, tools, superintendence, and all other services necessary to perform the following construction work complete:
Furnish and install 3,332 l.f. of 60? dia. carrier pipe within a tunnel constructed with a 1?-0? minimum clearance envelope to the outside diameter of the pipe; 7 each of 4?-0? dia. manholes; 1 each of 8?-0? dia. manholes; 2 each of 10?-0? dia. manholes; 1,573 l.f. of 8? dia. PVC sanitary sewer pipe; 60 l.f. of 60? dia. sanitary sewer pipe; geotechnical instrumentation as required; erosion control; surface restoration; and all other appurtenances necessary to complete the project.
Each Bidder shall submit with their bid a bid bond issued by a surety licensed to do business in the State of Kansas in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of their bid plus all alternates. Said guarantee shall be made payable to the Board of County Commissioners of Johnson County, Kansas.
The County reserves the right to award the contract to the lowest and best, responsive and responsible bidder(s) for the work covered by the bid and to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities and informalities in any bid submitted.
Nonresident corporations that are not already registered with the Kansas Secretary of State and all nonresident individuals and partnerships are required by law to register with the Department of Revenue, State Office Building, Topeka, Kansas, and pay a fee for each and every contract as a precedent to commencing work on the contract. For contracts in excess of ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) the foreign contractor shall file with the Department of Revenue an acceptable bond in an amount of ten percent (10%) of the contract.
No bid may be withdrawn within a period of ninety (90) days from the date of the bid opening.
