Sealed bids will be received by the Thirty-ninth Transportation Development District, at the office of George Butler Associates, 9801 Renner Boulevard, Lenexa, KS 66219, in the Lower Level Mail Room until 2:00 PM local time on Friday, September 14, 2007, then publicly opened and read.

This contract provides for, but is not limited to, the replacement of the existing 2-lane bridge with a 4-lane bridge, grading, asphalt, or Portland cement concrete paving, concrete curbing, necessary storm sewer improvements, concrete driveways, concrete sidewalks, sod and all appurtenant work for the completion of the project.
Each bid shall include a bid bond, certified check, or cashiers check in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid.
The Thirty-ninth Transportation Development District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all informalities or irregularities therein. No bid may be altered, withdrawn, or resubmitted within one hundred twenty (120) days from and after the date set for opening of bids. Each bidder shall take into consideration the number of days for completion of the project as specified in the Proposal. Payment for all work performed and materials furnished for construction by the Contractor shall be made in cash or check in accordance with the provisions of the contract.
Construction covered hereby will be subject to all requirements of the Prevailing Wage Law of the State of Missouri and to the wage rates determined by the Industrial Commission of Missouri and set forth in the Contract Documents. Prior to award of this Contract, the Contractor and all sub-contractors may be required to furnish evidence of a written Affirmative Action Program to ensure that all employees are treated equally without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, handicap or national origin, pursuant to Executive Order #11246 and amendments thereto.
