Sealed bids for the Rehabilitation of Filter Beds #5 and #6 (hereinafter “Project”) will be received by the Public Water Supply District No. 2 of St. Charles County, Missouri (“Owner”), until the above time, at the Owner’s office, 100 Water Drive, O’Fallon, MO 63368. The Scope of Work for the Project includes the Removal of Air Scour piping in filter beds and all Filter Bed media, gravel and strainers in Filter Beds #5 and #6 and replacement with new strainers and new filter media, new gravel and reinstalling air scour. Questions about bidding requirements or project requirements may be sent via email to Chris Lesch at clesch@colestl.com. There will be a pre-bid meeting at the above time, at the Water Treatment Plant located at 1635 South Hwy 94, Defiance Missouri 63341. Attendance at the Pre-Bid is recommended but not mandatory.

Bid security in the amount of Five percent (5%) of the bid amount must accompany each bid, in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders.

Wages shall be paid to each employee engaged in the work at a rate not less than the prevailing rate of wages for the particular trade or occupation, as issued by the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations. The Contractor shall be responsible for complying with the prevailing rate of wages for St. Charles County, Missouri. The Contractor shall be responsible for complying with Missouri Immigration Laws, and must submit the Work Authorization Affidavit with Bid. Contractor shall provide a ten hour Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) construction safety program for its employees working onsite on the project, as described in Section 800.

THE OWNER INTENDS TO AWARD THE CONTRACT TO THE MOST RESPONSIVE, RESPONSIBLE BIDDER SUBMITTING THE LOWEST BID. THE OWNER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY AND ALL BIDS, AND TO WAIVE ANY INFORMALITIES NOT INVOLVING PRICE, TIME OR CHANGES IN THE WORK IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE OWNER.
