Sealed bids will be received at the office of McClure, 107 Butler Street, Macon, MO. 63552 until the above time, for the City of Bevier, Missouri – Stormwater Improvements. Contractor to clearly print on the outside of bid package “Stormwater Improvements – City of Bevier. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at said office.

The proposed work includes: Stormwater Improvements in the City of Bevier Generally bound by Hunt St. on the north, Elvira St. on the south, Macon St. on the west and Bloomington St. on the east. The improvements include a 678 SY parking area, about 2,009 LF of Storm Drainage Pipe, 28 Drop inlet structures, various drainage structure adjustments, 193 SY pavement replacement, aggregate and sidewalk replacement as a result of storm drainage placement, and rock lining placement.

All equipment, materials and workmanship must be in accordance with the drawings and specifications in the office of the Consulting Engineers, McClure.

Information regarding this project can be found in the “Public Jobs” link on the website. Contractors desiring the Contract Documents for use in preparing bids may also obtain a set of such documents from Drexel Technologies; 10840 West 86th Street, Lenexa, KS 66214, telephone number is 913-371-4430. Bidding documents will be shipped only if the requesting party assumes responsibility for all related charges. Corporate, certified, or cashier’s checks shall be made payable to Drexel Technologies, Inc.

Questions on the Bid Documents from general contractors and sub-contractors will be answered by the Macon, MO office of the Consulting Engineer. All questions must be submitted using the Request for Information Form (RFI) included in the specifications to Susan Copenhaver of the consulting engineer via e-mail at scopenhaver@mcclurevision.com. Any explanation or interpretation made will be in the form of a written response on the RFI form or by Addendum issued by the Consulting Engineer and furnished to all Bidders identified as plan holders of record. No requests for alternate or “equivalent” products will be considered prior to Bid Opening.

A pre-bid conference for the Project will be held at the above time at McClure, 107 Butler Street, Macon, MO. 63552. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged.

No Bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the date of opening of bids.

The Work will be substantially complete on or before May 1, 2026, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions on or before May 15, 2026.

Only if Bids Exceed $75,000 will minimum wage rates for this contract be prevailing wage rates as determined by the Industrial Commission of Missouri. The wage rates are set forth in the contract documents and are to be considered as a part of this Invitation to Bid.
