1.1 BID SUBMISSION

A. Bids signed and under seal, executed, and dated will be received at the USD 383 Education Center before the above time.

1. Bids shall be clearly labeled "Marlatt Elementary School Fire Alarm/Mass Notification Bid" on the outside of the sealed envelope.

2. Bids may be mailed. If mailing a bid, please address to:

B. Offers submitted after the above time may be returned to the bidder unopened.

C. Offers will be opened publicly immediately after the time for receipt of bids.

D. Amendments to the submitted offer will be permitted if received in writing prior to bid closing and if endorsed by the same party or parties who signed and sealed the offer.

1.2 WORK IDENTIFIED IN THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS

A. Work of this proposed Contract comprises Fire alarm and mass notification systems, including electrical Work.

2.6 INQUIRIES/ADDENDA

A. Direct questions to LST Consulting Engineers, PA, email: mail@LSTengineers.com.

B. Addenda may be issued during the bidding period. All Addenda become part of the Contract Documents. Include resultant costs in the Bid Amount.

C. Verbal answers are not binding on any party.

D. Clarifications requested by bidders must be in writing not less than 3 days before date set for receipt of bids. The reply will be in the form of an Addendum, a copy of which will be forwarded to planholders.

E. Bidders shall acknowledge receipt of addenda on the Bid Form in the space provided.

F. Addenda issued after receipt of Bids will be mailed or delivered only to the selected Bidder.

3.1 SITE EXAMINATION

A. A visit to the project site has been arranged for bidders on 14 October 2025 @ 4:15p.m.

3.2 PREBID CONFERENCE

A. A bidders conference has been scheduled for the above time at the project site Marlatt Elementary School, 2715 Hobbs Drive, Manhattan, Kansas 66502.

B. All general contract bidders are required to attend.

C. Representatives of the Project Engineer and USD 383 will be in attendance.

D. Information relevant to the Bid Documents will be recorded in an Addendum, issued to Planholders of Record.

BID SUBMISSION

5.1 SUBMISSION PROCEDURE

A. Bidders shall be solely responsible for the delivery of their bids in the manner and time prescribed.

B. Submit one copy of the executed offer on the Bid Forms provided, signed and sealed with the required security in a closed opaque envelope, clearly identified with bidder's name, "Marlatt Elementary School Fire Alarm/Mass Notification Bid" and Owner's name on the outside.

C. If the Bid is sent by mail, the sealed envelope shall be enclosed in a separate mailing envelope with the notation "SEPARATE BID ENVELOPE ENCLOSED. DO NOT OPEN UNTIL 22 OCTOBER 2025 @ 2:00p.m." on the face thereof.

D. Improperly completed information, irregularities in security deposit, may be cause not to open the Bid Form envelope and declare the bid invalid or informal.
