General Description: The project includes the replacement of existing shower bases, surrounds, glass doors, faucets and controls. Structural repair of floor slab beneath showers and toilets is included. Toilets and flush valves shall be replaced by alternate. Lavatory faucets shall be replaced and supply/drain lines shall be insulated. New floor tile on waterproofing membrane, new gypsum wallboard ceilings, new wall and ceiling paint, new lighting fixtures and new thermostat-controlled wall heaters shall be provided in bathrooms. Additional project scope by alternate includes upgrading the existing fire alarm system, replacing bedroom light fixtures, replacing existing bedroom thermostats, and providing solid surface shower bases and surrounds in lieu of acrylic.
